Great Basin Wildlife Rescue will release a rehabilitated bird of prey from Bearclaw Cabin at Sundance Saturday afternoon. The program is free, but reaching the cabin requires a scenic lift ticket and an early chairlift ride.

Great Basin Wildlife Rescue will bring a rehabilitated bird of prey to Bearclaw Cabin Saturday, explain the bird's recovery, and release it from the mountain. The program begins promptly at 1pm. Sundance tells guests to board Outlaw Express by noon so the chairlift reaches the summit before the presentation starts.

Lehi's 900 North gas-line work should reopen in mid-October
Enbridge Gas expects to finish phase three of its Line 26 replacement in October and reopen the roads around 1200 East and 900 North by mid-month. Crews are replacing a 20-inch high-pressure pipe installed in 1960 with a 24-inch pipe, then tying the north-south line into the pipe below the intersection by the end of September.
Amelia Earhart Elementary adds Boys & Girls Club care
A new Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County program began Tuesday at Amelia Earhart Elementary. Kindergarten through sixth-grade students can register for full after-school care or choose STEM Engineering and Olympic Sports clubs on alternating weekdays. The program runs Monday through Thursday from 3:20 to 5:30pm.

The Creator's Collective Autumn Market brings more than 50 Utah vendors into the Lindon Community Center Saturday. The free indoor market has food trucks and door prizes. Booths sell clothes, home goods, books, pottery, children's items, permanent jewelry, and fine-line tattoos.

Use this for handmade gifts and lunch from a food truck. The market stays indoors, and the vendor mix covers art and clothes along with books and home goods.⚠️ Heads up: Service animals are the only animals allowed inside the building. Buy through BYU BYU women's volleyball hosts UCLA at the Smith Fieldhouse
UCLA comes to Provo Friday for a 6:30pm match against BYU. The Smith Fieldhouse puts 5,000 seats close to Elaine Michaelis Court, and the match streams on ESPN+. BYU's official schedule puts live stats and the stream beside its ticket link.

This is the home match to choose if you want a national opponent in the Fieldhouse. UCLA is in Utah for a three-match road swing, and Friday is its Provo stop.⚠️ Heads up: Do not use resale listings for the start time. BYU lists first serve at 6:30pm Mountain Time.

Choose your start time Climb 110 stories for Springville's 9/11 remembrance
The Clyde Recreation Center opens its stair machines from 5am to 10pm Friday for a free remembrance challenge. Participants climb 110 stories, or 2,071 steps, in memory of firefighters killed at the World Trade Center. You can begin any time during the 17-hour window.

Use the machines at your own pace and stop when needed. The full target is 2,071 steps, but the city does not describe the challenge as a race.⚠️ Heads up: This is a stair-machine challenge inside the recreation center. Wear shoes you have already used for a long climb.

The Spanish Fork Farmers Market is a food-only Saturday market. Growers and licensed food vendors sell fresh produce, eggs, professionally packaged meat, and prepackaged foods from the Thurber Building parking lot. The rules exclude craft booths, which keeps the rows focused on groceries.

Utah Valley beat New Mexico State 4-0 Sunday for its third straight win and second shutout in a row. Nixan Jackson, Kate Shirts, Ashley Garcia, and Josie Clawson scored, while Madeleine Boucher made two saves. The Wolverines return to Orem Saturday night.
Real Salt Lake soccer came back twice against LAFC
Real Salt Lake answered two deficits to draw LAFC 2-2 Saturday in front of 21,078 people at America First Field. Saba Lobjanidze scored his first RSL goal, and Noel Caliskan added his first goal of the season. RSL plays in Houston tonight before returning home Saturday.

Aspen Peaks receives $282,277 to plan career programs
Aspen Peaks School District received a $282,277 state planning grant to decide which career and technical education programs its students will need. The district will spend the coming year studying local workforce needs, current partnerships, and more than 32 pathways now offered by Alpine School District before Aspen Peaks opens July 1, 2027.
Cedar Valley High gets $10,000 for science equipment
QTS Data Centers donated $10,000 to Cedar Valley High School for hands-on science equipment. The school plans to buy zoology specimens for lab work and add materials to its 3D-printing program. Teachers will use the equipment in physical science and chemistry. Oceanography and biology classes will get new supplies too.

Utah County's winter warming center has received 102 of the 250 sleeping mats it needs before opening November 1. The county's Amazon wish list ships each purchased mat directly to the center for adults who need a safe place to sleep overnight.
