Our take
Arrive around 5:30 or 6pm, buy dinner and walk the booths, then settle in for the music at seven. The market keeps running until nine.

Let the dog swim Let the dog swim at American Fork's pool
American Fork's Dog Days event opens the Fitness Center leisure pool to dogs Thursday evening. Use the west gate for swimming, vendors and giveaways.
Our take
This is one of the few times your dog gets the pool instead of the splash pad. Register the dog before you go, then use the west gate.
โ ๏ธ Heads up: Only dogs may swim. People have to stay out of the water.

Space is limited Register for Bunco Night at the Lehi Legacy Center
Lehi's Bunco Night has dice games, food, prizes and refreshments for ages 14 and older. The city lists prizes for the highest scores, the biggest loser and the traveling bag, and says space is limited.
Our take
Register now if your group wants a table Friday. The two-hour session includes the game, food and prizes, so there is no second stop to plan.
โ ๏ธ Heads up: This event is for ages 14 and older, and the city says space is limited.

Free Friday stop Watch break dancers on Springville's Festival Street
Art City Sidewalk Sessions brings scheduled performers to Festival Street on Friday. CPT Break Dancing is on this week's program, and the city encourages visitors to tip the performers.
Our take
Stop for half an hour before dinner or stay for the full session. The open-air format makes it easy to join late without interrupting a seated show.
โ ๏ธ Heads up: This is an outdoor performance. Check the weather and bring cash if you want to tip.

For country fans See Whitney Lusk and WILDWOOD at the Covey Center
Spanish Fork-raised singer Whitney Lusk and the duo WILDWOOD co-headline Utah's Best Country on the Covey Center's main stage Friday. WILDWOOD is Kate Miller and Chad Truman.
Our take
Use the official Covey Center event page to choose a seat. This is the Friday option for people who want a seated country show instead of an outdoor event.
โ ๏ธ Heads up: The final ticket price depends on the seat and current inventory.

Order the pumpkin curry if you want a rich, mildly sweet dinner. Rice is included on the current curry menu, and the protein choice changes the final price.
โ ๏ธ Heads up: The dining room closes from 3:30-4:30pm and all day Sunday. Delivery-menu prices can differ from in-store prices.

Easy lakefront miles Walk the Vineyard shoreline before sunset
The Vineyard shoreline trail runs north from Sunset Beach Park past Vineyard Beach toward Lindon Marina. The mostly paved out-and-back route is about 4.2 miles if you walk the full distance, with almost no elevation change.
Our take
Walk one mile and turn around for an easy evening outing, or allow enough daylight for the full route. Bring water because the exposed path has little shade.
โ ๏ธ Heads up: The trail is exposed, and lake access is limited along the route. Stay on the marked path.
