To see Christmas lights in Utah County, go to Luminaria at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, the Spanish Fork Festival of Lights, or the Riverwoods and Orchard lighting nights. Christmas in Color in American Fork is the other drive-through. Here is what each one is like, which 2026 dates are posted, and which ones need a ticket.
Luminaria is a walk through 50 acres of Thanksgiving Point's gardens with 10 million lights. The Merry Mosaic has 6,500 luminaries and a 120-foot Christmas tree. It opens November 12, 2026 and runs through January 9, 2027, closed Sundays, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Entry is by timed ticket, with a slot every 15 minutes, and hot cocoa and mini donuts are sold inside.
A drive-through display of holiday lights at Canyon View Park in Spanish Fork. The 2026 season opens on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, and runs through New Year's Day. Tickets go on sale November 12 at sfcitytix.com, and none are sold at the gate.
A 30-minute drive-through light show at Mary and Art Dye Park, 1000 N 550 E in American Fork. One ticket covers one vehicle. 2026 dates not announced yet.
The Lighting of Riverwoods is on Thursday, November 19, 2026, at the shopping center at 4801 N University Ave. The center switches on more than 1.5 million lights, with live entertainment, life-sized photo spots and fireworks.
The 10th annual Orchard Lighting Event is Monday, November 16, 2026. More than 100,000 lights come on in The Orchard, followed by fireworks, with a giant Lite Brite, free hot chocolate while supplies last and photos with special guests.
A 20 to 25 minute boat ride on the Provo River from the CLAS Ropes Course at 3606 West Center, past lights reflecting off the water, holiday scenes on the shore and Christmas music. Santa visits to hand out candy. 2026 dates not announced yet: the CLAS page lists a December season but prints no year.
Start by deciding whether you want to stay in the car. The Spanish Fork Festival of Lights and Christmas in Color in American Fork are drive-throughs, so they suit small kids and cold nights. Luminaria at Thanksgiving Point is a walk of at least an hour and a half and works as a full evening out.
The lighting nights at The Shops at Riverwoods in Provo and The Orchard at University Place in Orem are single evenings in mid-November with fireworks, so put the date in your calendar. The CLAS Ropes Christmas Cruise on the Provo River is the odd one out: a 20 to 25 minute boat ride past lights and holiday scenes on the bank.
Luminaria sells timed entry, Spanish Fork sells advance tickets only with none at the gate, and Christmas in Color sells one ticket per car. Luminaria, Spanish Fork, Riverwoods and the Orchard have posted 2026 dates. Christmas in Color and the CLAS cruise have not, so check their sites before you plan around them.
